Danny J. Garcia, MD, MPH

Family Medicine

Danny J. Garcia is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician who grew up in the Lakewood, CA area. He completed his Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Psychology at UCSD. After graduating, Dr. Garcia spent two years doing research at the UCLA Medical Center’s IRAS (Insulin Resistance Atherosclerosis) Family Study where he developed a passion for lifelong learning of diabetes and the various complex treatments available. He completed his MPH degree at UCLA’s Fielding School of Public Health where he focused his studies on Health Service Administration.

In 2015, Dr. Garcia graduated from St. George’s University, School of Medicine where his passion for treating adults, women and children further developed. He joined the Family Medicine residency program at Wayne State University where he was able to expand his desire of serving the Latino, low-income and underinsured patients of Michigan’s largest FQHC, CHASS (Community Health and Social Services) Center in Southwest Detroit. After completing his residency program, he returned to his hometown to care for the community he grew up in. He now sees patients at ROADS Community Clinic – Compton and enjoys partnering with his patients to find various ways of managing diabetes, hypertension, obesity, mental health disorders, and all forms of addiction.
